The 2024 Surrey Property Awards will recognise excellence in just 11 categories, which are divided between those requiring on-line nominations and those that require a written submission for judging.
CATEGORIES FOR NOMINATIONS ONLY
Best Professional Services Company / Consultancy
This category seeks to identify a company or consultancy that has provided outstanding and consistent service and advice to those operating in the property and/or construction industry. This sector often works behind the scenes in support of clients and projects, but the award aims to recognise the exceptional talent and dedication of groups such as: Planning Consultants, Chartered Accountants, Engineers, Land Agents, Recruitment Consultants, Designers etc.

Best Commercial Agent / Chartered Surveying Practice
This award looks to recognise a Chartered Surveying business that has demonstrated not just good practice, but has also forged excellent partnerships with other related professionals to enable commercial projects of all types to culminate in successful deals/outcomes.

Estate Agent / Lettings Branch of the Year
The Award is designed so that all agents - whether they operate a single or multi branch agency - can compete fairly. If you have used the services of an agent to sell, purchase, let or rent a property/s and you feel the service you received deserves recognition, you can nominate the branch office of the agent who dealt with your transaction.

Property Law Firm of the Year
Law firms with a strong bias towards the property sector often work without acknowledgement, largely due to client confidentiality and the sensitivity surrounding acquisition, asset disposal, location and project type. By making a nomination in this category you will be recognising a law firm that you believe has demonstrated the highest standards, with excellent client engagement, and has maintained professional integrity at all times.

Architectural Practice of the Year
This award recognises the skill and understanding involved in designing projects that merge intrinsically with their surroundings, whilst offering the developer or private client outstanding creative solutions and meticulous attention to detail. The company should have demonstrated the ability to work closely with developers, private clients and contractors and have displayed not just excellent design flair, but also the ability to maintain and manage project timelines.

Property Professional/s of the Year
This is the most fiercely contested award every year and looks to reward and acknowledge two property professionals. You can nominate an individual - from the most junior to the most senior, and anyone in between - who works full or part-time in any type of company that has a link or directly operates in the property industry. The award seeks to recognise two people who have not only delivered a service that is ‘par excellence’, but who you believe have gone above and beyond the call of their remit. Nominations are invited and, when prompted, you will be asked to enter a name and company and provide a reason why you are nominating that person.

CATEGORIES FOR WRITTEN ENTRIES ONLY
Property / Development of Outstanding Architectural Merit
From town to country, perfectly crafted developments, bijoux one-off homes or the most luxurious mansion, size is not important, as this category seeks to identify either a single property or a development where architecture, site layout, landscaping and materials have worked to deliver a residence(s) that offers a uniquely attractive overall perspective.

Best Boutique Development
This category seeks to find a small, but perfectly formed development, offering new homes of any size or style, in Surrey’s towns or villages. A collaboration between the developer, planning consultant and architect will have harnessed exceptional design features and materials, creative landscaping and a good site layout that ensures the development sits comfortably in its surroundings and has good elements of kerb-appeal.

Best New Homes Development 20+ Properties
This award strives to identify Surrey’s best large, new homes development, where exceptional design and sustainable features have future-proofed the development for generations to come. Those making an entry are asked to consider the architecture, materials used, site layout, any visible eco features and the landscaping, all of which will have enabled the development to work in its surroundings. The ability of the architect and developer to work with local planners to deliver a large development in a sustainable location will be important.

Best Apartment Scheme – including Retirement Developments
This category is open to all types and styles of apartment projects, which contribute to Surrey’s very active property market and lifestyle choices, for groups such as commuters and more senior residents who may choose independent retirement living. It looks to identify the development that not only suits its location, but also makes a positive impact through its visual appeal and landscaping. The development should have been designed to suit the purchaser profile and include relevant features such as: parking, electric car charging points, lift, creative and space-saving elements and communal facilities e.g. pool, lounge, gardens, restaurant and concierge services if applicable.
